A study carried out by the Psychology Department of the University of Hull concluded: ~ A wool filled duvet was shown to be capable of extending stage 4 (deep sleep) by 25% when compared to a duvet with a polyester fill". In the same study Your very own personal air-conditioning the natural way! Wool is the perfect buffering fibre to manage your micro-climate surrounding you whilst you sleep Great news for allergy and asthma sufferers, wool duvets do not harbour dustmites and mould. Be wealthy...... Can I wash my duvet? Absolutely these duvets are machine washable and can be tumble dried on a low setting easy to care for. 365 days of the year our wool duvet is cool when its hot, and warm when its not! For added flexibility our duvet comes in 2 halves use both together for Winter and just one layer to ward off chills when its warm. Were always being asked about tog value but as wool is naturally moisture absorbant its impossible to give an accurate tog reading. To give you an indication, the duo- quilt equates to approx 11- 14 tog and the one layer between 4 and 6 tog. Cool when its hot and warm when its not! - This is due to the unique morphology (physical structure) of wool. The wool fibre can effectively control thermal resistance by its moisture buffering capacity. As humidity rises under your duvet, the thermal resistance of the air trapped between you and the duvet falls, as can be seen by the figure given below Source: A Missenard. Thermal properties of gases and liquids. This phenomenon allows wool to aid you maintain your optimum temperature across a wider range of conditions than other filling materials. Regardless of how much we care for our partners we are all different in our physiologies, and one facet of this is that we have different metabolic rates at different times, which in turn leads to different amounts of perspiration. This can cause one person to feel hot and clammy while the other feels comfortable and vice versa.
Wool very quickly buffers increases in moisture content, minimising these differences to a greater extent than any other filling. This happens because wool has a greater appetite for moisture vapour than the air, and will pull water from the atmosphere faster than it can absorb it from you, helping to reduce the build up of humidity under the duvet. Humidity makes you feel uncomfortable and reduces the quality of your sleep and it may even cause you to wake.
Wool can hold more than 30% of its weight of water before it will feel damp, so you need not worry about unpleasant sensations.
Also humidity returns to normal levels when you get out of bed and your duvet will allow the moisture absorbed to escape back into the atmosphere when the air above the duvet is dry, ready to help maintain your comfort night after night.

Be wise.... Nature is a wonderful thing and for 7000 years, the sheep has slept quite happily, whatever the weather, in his lovely coat. Every year, he has a haircut and his duvet regrows. We have used this sustainable fleece to engineer a superior duvet
Snuggly, soft and lightweight our duvets are actually very huggable, just like a little lamb. They also are quite bouncy and resilient as the fleece is carefully carded into a lightweight batt and encased in quality natural cotton.
Something new? No, Sleeping under wool is as old as the hills 7000 years infact. Its natural, its a great secret shared by many throughout the world
sleeping with wool beats other fibres hands down. Its does feel different to other duvets - a new and natural experience!
Wool is SAFE! Not only is it Sustainable, it's Absolutely natural, Flame retardant and Environmentally friendly. Unlike synthetics and feather&down, wool is inherently flame retardant
