Why choose a wool bed?

Simply put, wool is the secret to better sleep. Thanks to its temperature-regulating properties, this natural material keeps you warm when you’re chilly, but cool when you’re feeling the heat. In other words, it’s the ideal environment for enhancing sleep.

Wool is also biodegradable, sustainable and renewable. And because it is naturally flame retardant, no nasty chemicals are added to your wool bed. That alone should be enough to help you sleep easier at night!

Modern Technology meets British tradition

When you buy a wool bed from The Wool Room, you get the best of both worlds. Our British wool beds are topped with natural wool mattresses and handcrafted by master bed makers in the UK.

They also use modern pocket spring technology to support you while you sleep. Pocket springs are designed to distribute your weight evenly, helping you to avoid that scrunched up feeling that comes with sleeping in an uncomfortable position. As well as making for a comfier night’s sleep, pocket springs also help to extend the life of your bed.

Our wool beds are available in a variety of different spring counts, so you can find the perfect support level for you.

Create your perfect wool bed

We know that getting your bed just right is important – which is why our wool beds come in a variety of sizes and with various options. Choose your perfect combination to create your most comfortable, most stylish bed.

Our beds range in size from single to super king, while the divan bases are available in a range of colours and patterns. When it comes to comfort, you can choose from our Deluxe or Luxury mattress ranges, and select a mattress tension to suit the way you like to sleep. All our wool beds come with the option to add divan drawers – choose to have none, two or four divan drawers, depending on the size of bed you order, and the amount of under-bed storage you need.

With our king and super king wool beds you can also opt for a zip and link style, allowing you to turn your large bed into twin beds when you need it. Great for the guest room!

The Wool Room’s 10 year guarantee

Whichever bed you choose, when you buy a wool bed from us, it comes with a 10 year warranty. What’s more, our divan beds are designed to be long lasting. They are made from slow-grown pine which provides stability. All of which ensures you have peace of mind, as well as a peaceful night’s sleep.

Caring for your wool bed

To keep your bed in great condition and make it last longer, it’s important to follow the right care tips. To start, you’ll want to make sure that you turn your new mattress weekly for the first few weeks of use. For more information on how to care for your new wool bed, take a look at our guide.

This bedding has changed my life. After a 3 year desensitising programme at the allergy clinic, emptying my bedroom of carpets and curtains, boil washing bedding twice a week, buying new pillows every month I now have a normal approach to bedroom life. I sleep better, don't have to set the alarm for 6.00am in order to take my decongestion tablets, anti histamines and sprays so that I can get up and go to work. The allergy clinic should be informed about the value of wool. I saw at least 3 different consultants who gave me loads of suggestions but not one mentioned wool bedding. Thank you
