Do wool pillows go flat?

No. Unlike synthetic fillings that can collapse or clump over time, wool fibres possess a unique spiral structure that acts like a natural spring. This gives our pillows a consistently resilient, supportive loft that gently bounces back to its original shape. It may settle slightly to cradle your head perfectly – this is completely natural and helps to create personalised support. A quick, daily 'plump' with a gentle shake or pat helps to redistribute the wool - restoring its natural shape.

Do wool pillows smell?

No - it’s one of the most common myths about wool. Before being crafted into our pillows, the wool is washed to remove any excess lanolin, the natural oil that protects a sheep’s coat. If you notice a subtle, natural scent when your pillow arrives, simply air it for a couple of days. The fibres will naturally freshen, leaving you with a comfortable sleep environment right from the start.

Can you adjust a wool pillow?

Yes. Our Deluxe Washable and Organic Washable wool pillows are designed to be fully adjustable. You can remove wool for a softer feel, or add additional British Wool to give your pillow that fuller support. This allows you to tailor the loft specifically to your preferred level of comfort.
