    Our Deluxe Washable protector provides a temperature regulating layer to your mattress as well as protecting it. Hand-crafted from 250 gsm of traceable & machine washable British wool combined with an organic cotton outer cover to provide the most natural night's sleep.

    The Deluxe Washable Collection features the finest quality wool sourced from British farms. Part of our Wool ID® Traceable wool programme, this collection features all the all the benefits of Woolroom bedding: temperature regulating, naturally hypoallergenic, machine washable and proven to deliver the very best, natural night's sleep.

    A wool mattress protector is perfect for use on a memory foam, latex or any other mattress that gets very hot with use. This will take away up to 70% of the heat given off leaving you to sleep comfortably without overheating.

  • Care Instructions

     
    • Cleaning: Machine wash on a wool/delicate cycle (800RPM) at 40 degrees using a wool detergent.
    • Drying: Please only line dry. Do not tumble dry.
    • Storage: Store exclusively in the provided calico bag and avoid vacuum storage.
    • Freshening: To refresh the protector, we recommend placing it outside for a few hours.

    Every premium mattress topper (Ryeland or Cheviot) is carefully crafted by hand and shipped to you within 7–8 weeks.

    Mattresses, Beds & Headboards

    Larger items are delivered using our dedicated two-man service for maximum care and convenience.**

    As part of this free service, our team will:

    • Deliver to a room of your choice (up to the first floor)
    • Unpack and assemble your items where required
    • Remove all packaging for recycling

    Please note that the Junior Mattress and Woolly topper are doorstep delivery only.

    Delivery to higher floors is available for an additional charge.

    For a small extra fee, we can also remove and responsibly recycle your old like-for-like item.

Rare to find any company that has EU sizing so that’s a plus but this protector is lovely. Just takes the edge off a bare mattress and makes it cosier. Obviously it’s not a topper so don’t expect it to be thick but it’s padded so works well for me

Life changing. We’ve had the wool duvets for five years, which I love and rave about to everyone. I just wish I’d invested in the mattress protector sooner. It’s completely transformed our comfortable bed to something impossible to get out of. This really has perfected the consistent temperature of the bed throughout the night teamed with the woolroom duvet. I’m definitely going to buy one for our campervan too.

Ordered a mattress protector. Very, very happy with my purchase. Fits our deep mattress very well. Nice thick protector & I am hoping I will not get too hot in bed which was one of the reasons I decided to buy from the Wool Company. I wanted a natural fibre with a natural cooling effect. So far so good. I am planning to make further purchases in the future for guest bedrooms. Highly recommend.

It's a nice cover but between the mattress and the wool cover, one of them gives off a smell of alcohol, especially strong in the morning. It's not great.

Hi, I bought a wool duvet a while ago (not from you) and couldn't get on with it as it rustled all night. Do your mattress protectors do the same, or are they made from soft, non rustling material?

Hello Toni,

Thank you for your question. The Organic range is the softest option we offer, so it’s the least likely to have any rustling sound.
I personally use the Deluxe, and I don’t experience any rustling with it either, but the organic cotton used on the Deluxe does have a slightly crisper feel compared to the fully Organic range. Because of that, if avoiding any potential rustling is your top priority, the Organic would be the best choice.

Is there a "wool " smell from the protector?

Hello Frances,

They will always be a chance of a wool smell due to us using a natural fibre. Wool however is very quick to take on the smell of its surroundings. The wool smell does not last long, if it does come with the smell.
