Our Blackwell mattress is a great introduction to the double-layer mattresses in our Artisan Collection. A total of 2000 calico pocket springs form a top layer of contouring comfort above a second layer of tailored support. Our artisans hand tie and nest each spring to ensure you get the precision support you need while maintaining breathability.
Cotton and British wool are chosen to craft the soft, smooth sleep surface, along with naturally hypoallergenic and temperature-regulating British wool. White cattle hair is also used to provide the added support beneath. All of our wool is sustainable and ethically sourced, and the origins of our top-layer wool pads are even 100% traceable back to the UK farm they came from - just check out our Wool ID® tags.

Blackwell Mattress: Care Instructions
Letting your mattress settle:When your mattress arrives remove all packaging to allow the mattress to air. Your mattress may seem shorter than the base its on. Once unpacked, the mattress will gradually settle and return to full size. If you find that the mattress is settling unevenly, turn and rotate the mattress.
Turning the mattress:
We recommend turning your mattress regularly for the first 12 weeks of arriving, after that we would recommend turning it every 3 months.
Cleaning your mattress:
Do not use a vacuum cleaner on your mattress. Use a soft brush to remove any fluff. In case of spillage, spot dry the liquid quickly with a dry cloth.
For all orders that contain bedding or accessories, it will ship from our Canadian distribution center in Ottawa, ON on a 2-3 day ground service using FedEx, UPS or Canada Post. This is a free service for all orders over $150 that will take 2-3 working days to reach you.
Mattress orders will be delivered to you in 7-10 days with FedEX. Your tracking number will be provided to you once your items have been dispatched from our distribution center. As we believe our products are of a significant value we require a signature for all orders. In certain circumstances this signature has been waivered for a contactless delivery.
Please note that in exceptional circumstances your order may be fulfilled from elsewhere. This may go via a different courier to FedEx, UPS or Canada Post. This will not affect the delivery time or experience in any way. We are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses, please use an alternative address or your order may result in a failed delivery.
