150 Years of Expertise

Woolroom is a family-run business founded in 2008 and grew out of 150 years of experience in sourcing the finest wool and textiles.

When Woolroom began, synthetic, unethically produced fibres in bedding were all the rage. Wool had become so undervalued that the only viable option for farmers was to burn it, affecting livelihoods, wasting the resource and harming the environment.

The thing was, this incredible fibre held the power to help us sleep better and naturally. So we got to work. We made it our mission to ensure wool’s rejuvenating properties weren’t put to bed - at least before being made into wonderful bedding and mattresses.

We also wanted to ensure we were improving the lives of British farmers and their animals as well. We have made it our mission to provide every farmer a fair price for their wool and that their sheep receive humane, ethical treatment for happier, healthier lives.
