We work hard to source the highest quality organic wool from around the United Kingdom, including Robert Hyde's farm in Dorset, England. We carry out the most stringent checks to ensure the highest welfare of the sheep and pay a premium to farmer for their raising their sheep through organic farming methods in line with strict third party requirements and certifications.

Our Wool ID® Programme ensures transparency throughout the entire supply chain allowing you know exactly where the organic wool in your bedding has come from.

Superior Temperature Regulation

Our duvets offer remarkable temperature-regulating properties. Hand-crafted from traceable, British wool fibres, this duvet effortlessly adjusts to your body's temperature, keeping you cosy in winter and cool in summer.

Wool's innate breathability allows for optimal airflow, preventing overheating during warmer nights while providing insulation in colder seasons. Its moisture-transporting abilities ensure a dry sleeping environment, promoting a refreshing and restorative rest each night.

Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce a completely machine washable wool bedding without using some form of treatment on the fibre. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating a truly machine washable wool bedding.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).

OEKO-TEX® Certified

We’re proud to be the first and only wool bedding retailer to have our entire bedding range certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — one of the world’s most trusted labels for textile safety.

This means every component of our bedding — from the thread to the finished product — has been rigorously tested and certified free from harmful substances. No nasties. No guesswork. Just cleaner, safer sleep you can trust.

I absolutely love this wool duvet. It has a flatter profile than a feather one and a slightly heavier feel that suits me down to the ground. Unlike some feather duvets that can cling to the body as you sleep in a slightly claustrophobic way and make you feel too hot, this one just drapes beautifully over the body creating a heavenly cosy warmth. I also love the clean, neat profile when the bed is made. It is infinitely more pleasing to look at than the billowy cloud like mound of a feather one.

Hi Helen, thank you so much for your lovely review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoy the feel and look of our wool duvet. It’s wonderful to know it provides the cosy warmth and neat profile you love. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Amazing, so comfortable and best duvet we have ever bought! You spend your life in bed, around a third of it to be precise, for me probably more due to disabilities/illnesses and honestly this is a game changer. It is so soft and comforting and has kept me cool during these unprecedented heatwaves. So grateful to this company for such a beautiful duvet and for helping me get a restful night sleep for once (not an exaggeration here!) So thank you! x

Don't think about it.It'sworth every penny. No smell. Brilliant for allergic people. So light (king light organic)butso warm. We don't sweat like we used to with our polyester and down duvets. I bought it also for my son and he's not pushing it off at night. He Sleeps a lot better. We now bought the full range and the pillows too. I did a research and realised how important it's to have both the organic and the oeko tex 100 certification. So happy we found this company. Please keep up your wonderful work.

Hello Athina
Thank you so much for your kind words and for choosing our Organic Washable Wool Duvet! We are delighted to hear that it's been a great investment for you and your son, providing both comfort and relief for allergies. We appreciate your support and are committed to providing high-quality, certified organic products. Thank you for your trust in our company and for your valuable feedback.

Lovely quality and as it's anti-microbial you really do wake up feeling fresher. I don't sweat much, but I do have sensitive skin and this feels lovely against the skin. I can vouch for all of the bedding which has wool and cotton. I love the slight sheep smell, when it first arrives (which does dissipate for those who don't like it).

Hello Debica!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Organic Washable Wool Duvet - Light. We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the lovely quality and anti-microbial properties of the duvet. We understand the importance of waking up feeling fresh and we are happy to hear that our duvet helps with that.

We are also pleased to know that our duvet is gentle on your sensitive skin. Our wool and cotton bedding is designed with comfort in mind, so we are glad that it feels lovely against your skin. Has anyone experienced the duvet not been flat at the edge just seems to big for duvet cover(have tried many}just seem to get a thick bulk down one edge find it difficult to be even all round.........is it me is there a knack...........

Hello,Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with the duvet not lying flat at the edges. It sounds like the duvet might be a bit too large for the cover, which can cause the filling to bunch up. One tip is to make sure the duvet is evenly distributed inside the cover by shaking it out and smoothing it down regularly. You might also try securing the duvet to the cover with ties or clips if your cover has them. Please note that the covers we sell are cut to the exact size of our duvets to avoid any shifting. If you continue to have trouble, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team for further assistance. We’re here to help! Many thanks,Woolroom
