Handcrafted in the UK and measuring around 31cm in depth, it’s available in Soft, Regular, and Firm tensions to give you a tailored level of comfort and support.

Its precision 2000-count calico pocket spring system (King) provides responsive, full-body support, adjusting intuitively as you move to maintain healthy alignment and minimise pressure points. Above this, a curated blend of Wool ID® traceable British wool and breathable cotton creates a naturally temperature-regulating sleep surface that stays fresh, cool, and comfortable throughout the night.

Care Instructions

Letting your mattress settle:

When your mattress arrives remove all packaging to allow the mattress to air. Your mattress may seem shorter than the base its on. Once unpacked, the mattress will gradually settle and return to full size. If you find that the mattress is settling unevenly, turn and rotate the mattress.

Turning the mattress:

We recommend turning your mattress regularly for the first 12 weeks of arriving, after that we would recommend turning it every 3 months.

Cleaning your mattress:

Do not use a vacuum cleaner on your mattress. Use a soft brush to remove any fluff. In case of spillage, spot dry the liquid quickly with a dry cloth.

Delivery to higher floors is available for an additional charge.

How our mattress recycling works

Careful collection and dismantling: When your old mattress comes back to us, our delivery partners collect it and take it to a specialist recycling centre. Each mattress is handled carefully and prepared so the materials can be recovered.
Cleaned, checked and sorted: Every mattress is checked, then taken apart by hand into separate parts. Each material is cleaned, sorted and processed so it can be reused wherever possible.
Given a second life: Every week, over 16,000 mattresses are recycled in this way. Usable materials like springs, foam and fibres are given a second life and turned into new products in other industries.

Would Recommend

We had a lovely buying experience at Rowsley, where the staff were helpful but not in your face. We purchased a Blackwell king size matress "Regular" and also pillows, matress protector and lightweight duvet. The matress was delivered early than the 6 weeks initially quoted and the guys who delivered were excellent, we also had our old matress taken away. Expensive yes, but truly worth every penny, we are both sleeping much better than before, when we had so much broken sleep every night. We have only had the matress for about a month, so we are turning it weekly at the moment, it is heavy but manageable. Great products, great service, going back to Rowsley this month to buy the duvet covers and sheets and pillowcases!

Great Mattress

I've had a couple of weeks on our new mattress and am finding it very comfortable. It is very heavy to turn but two of us can manage it. Would be easier on a divan base. The delivery service was also very good. Very pleased with our purchase.

Love this mattress. Cool and very comfortable. Proper old school construction, no memory foam. Very well made and with a mattress protector should last a long time. Heavy to flip and turn but that's the price of quality.

What does zipping mean in your order spec?

Zipping is where the mattress is split into two halves that join in the middle, ideal for larger mattresses if you have limited space to get them upstairs, or if you need to split the weight to rotate the mattresses for mattress care.
