The Hebridean - Natural Luxury, Elevated

The Hebridean Wool Mattress takes everything that makes natural sleep exceptional, and enriches it. Handcrafted in the UK with a beautifully balanced blend of Wool ID® traceable British wool, cashmere, silk, and cotton, it creates a plush yet supportive sleep surface that feels instantly indulgent. It’s available in regular tension, includes three rows of side-stitching for enhanced edge support, and is around 28cm in depth.

Beneath its naturally soft surface lies a dual-layer spring system: 1000 individually nested pocket springs paired with 2000 responsive micro springs. Together, they create a sleep experience that adapts intelligently to your body – relieving pressure, maintaining alignment, and helping minimise partner disturbance throughout the night.

The outer fabric is woven from a Merino wool-rich blend, naturally fire-resistant and free from chemicals or synthetic finishes. It delivers the purity and breathability that modern foam mattresses simply can’t match.

Hypoallergenic, moisture-managing, and exceptionally breathable, the Hebridean is ideal for allergy sufferers, and anyone looking for cloud-like comfort without compromising on natural performance.

Supported by Woolroom’s 100 Night Sleep Trial (when paired with a protector), the Hebridean is the perfect introduction to the world of natural mattresses - thoughtful, supportive, honest, and effortlessly comfortable.

  • Care Instructions

    Letting your mattress settle:

When your mattress arrives remove all packaging to allow the mattress to air. Your mattress may seem shorter than the base its on. Once unpacked, the mattress will gradually settle and return to full size. If you find that the mattress is settling unevenly, turn and rotate the mattress.

    Turning the mattress:

We recommend turning your mattress regularly for the first 12 weeks, after that we would recommend turning it every 3 months.

    Cleaning your mattress:

Do not use a vacuum cleaner on your mattress. Use a soft brush to remove any fluff. In case of spillage, spot dry the liquid quickly with a dry cloth.

Mattress Recycling

At Woolroom, sustainability runs through everything we do, including what happens to your old mattress. 100% of returned mattresses are kept out of landfill, so the materials can be reused.

How our mattress recycling works

  1. Careful collection and dismantling: When your old mattress comes back to us, our delivery partners collect it and take it to a specialist recycling centre. Each mattress is handled carefully and prepared so the materials can be recovered.
  2. Cleaned, checked and sorted: Every mattress is checked, then taken apart by hand into separate parts. Each material is cleaned, sorted and processed so it can be reused wherever possible.
  3. Given a second life: Every week, over 16,000 mattresses are recycled in this way. Usable materials like springs, foam and fibres are given a second life and turned into new products in other industries.
