    Our best-selling wool pillow is now available in a comfortable "V" Shaped design with all of the benefits of the original, including our specially blended adjustable Wool ID® filling. The outer cover is quilted with even more British wool and is machine washable.

    The Deluxe Washable Wool Pillow is our best-selling wool pillow featuring adjustability, machine washability and certified naturally hypoallergenic by Allergy UK. Each pillow is hand-crafted from traceable & machine washable British wool combined with an organic cotton outer cover that can be removed easily.

    We recommend adding a matching V-Pillowcase to your order to complete the look and give it some extra protection.

  • Care Instructions

     

    When you do come around to cleaning it we recommend removing the loose wool, then placing the quilted pillow cover in the washing machine on a wool/delicate cycle at 30 degrees using wool detergent, a spin speed lower than 800RPM and then line drying. We do not advise tumble drying in any circumstances.

Adjustable Wool Filling

Each Washable Wool Pillow features the unique ability to adjust the amount of wool filling inside the pillow. This allows you to create the perfect feel tailored to your sleeping style.

For a softer feel, remove some of the wool filling from the pillow which will lower the height, offering less resistance.

For a firmer feel, add an extra bag of wool filling to your order and add this into the pillow. This creates a denser, higher pillow designed to be firmer and offer even more support.

Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce completely machine washable wool without using some form of treatment on the fibre. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating truly machine washable wool bedding.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).

I’d previously bought my mum two of these some time ago, which she found very comfortable, so didn’t hesitate to get one for myself after surgery (have to sleep sitting more upright). Have to say I’m disappointed. Apart from the massive hike in price, it’s exhausting having to fiddle about with the wool inside to redistribute and try make it less lumpy. Plus the zips are incredible fiddly to do up especially with arthritis. I felt like the pillow was smaller too. Overall not much support because of this. Once I’d put the (expensive but not worth it) fitted pillow case on, this made it even more squashed and small! My mum didn’t have a cover on. I wish I’d just returned it but as I’m housebound at the moment, the instructions saying you have to take it to a DPD drop off, well that’s impossible! Wish I’d saved my money. Photo shows this pillow on left next to an old V pillow I was replacing.

Worth every penny. Bought natural because I was sick of sweating in plastic bedding. It's a supportive and a quality made product. The ethical wool is another reason I purchased from this company.

I decided to try this pillow to help with healing ear piercings and because I generally sleep at the bottom of a normal pillow, so end up being halfway down the bed. The stitching on the quilt was coming away at the seams. The Woolroom were helpful and issued a replacement.
What I am not so keen on is the wool filling. This is a lot smaller compared to the wool in the pillows I bought a few years ago. So it does not fluff up very well and gets compacted more quickly. I don't know if these smaller size clusters affects all pillows or just this type. It would be good to offer the wool in different densities/fibre sizes for optimum fluffiness to suit personal preferences.

I recently had surgery which required me to sleep slightly upright & I had been eyeing this up for sometime.
I recently purchased it and it’s great product & quality is second to none and love the bag it comes in which makes it easier to transport when off in my caravan.

Absolutely adore my wool v pillow, soft and very comfortable the wool can be moved around within the pillow to adjust .
Having 2 zips one either side is quite ingenious, makes the pillow very adaptable to ones own preference. I have had many v pillows over the years, there is no comparison this pillow is head shoulders and more above regarding quality and comfort.
I have all wool regular pillows too, but I would purchase again without hesitation.
Going to buy one for my daughter.
Highly recommended.

Per my trust pilot review, the pillow was far too soft. I had to add 1.5 bags of wool to make it supportive enough, which essentially adds to the up front cost of the pillow.

Adapt It For Your Own Comfort

I bought this deluxe v shaped pillow to give me through night support. The first couple of nights it did then it felt rigid rather than supportive. I have taken 50grams of filling out of each leg and now getting a more snugly support for a better night's sleep.
