  • Description

Bring the beauty of the countryside into your home with our Herringbone Beige and White Horse Throw, part of the Wild and Wool Collection. A graceful horse design is paired with a classic herringbone weave in pure wool. It looks as good folded over a chair as it does spread across your bed.

At 170cm x 130cm (67" x 51" approx) plus fringe, it's a generous size. It's large enough to drape across the foot of a double or king-size bed, wrap around you on the sofa, or layer over an armchair. Fringed edges add a soft, traditional finish.

Wool is naturally breathable and temperature regulating, so it keeps you warm on cooler evenings without leaving you overheated. The natural beige and white palette blends effortlessly with almost any colour scheme, from modern to traditional.

Made from 100% pure new wool from Aotearoa, New Zealand, sourced from farms that follow the Five Freedoms of animal welfare and have never practised mulesing.

Wool needs very little washing, so a few hours airing outdoors is usually all it takes to freshen it up. A thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates natural materials made to last.

  • Care Instructions

Wool is one of the easiest natural fibres to live with. It's naturally breathable and resists odours, and its outer layer helps keep everyday dust and spills sitting on the surface rather than soaking in. That means your throw needs far less washing than you might expect, and the less it's cleaned, the longer it lasts.

    • To freshen
Give it a gentle shake or hang it outdoors for a few hours on a dry day.
    • Small spills
Blot straight away, then spot clean with a mild wool detergent and allow to air dry.
    • Deeper cleaning
When it does need a full clean, take it to a professional dry cleaner.

Please note: do not machine wash or tumble dry.

  • 100% Renewable

Wool is a 100% renewable resource — each year, sheep grow a fresh fleece simply by grazing on grass, drinking water, and basking in the sun. Nature’s cycle, perfected.

  • Naturally Temperature Regulating

Wool keeps your temperature just right. It draws moisture away to keep you cool, and as a breathable insulator, it works in tandem with your body to keep you warm when the temperatures drops.

  • Manufactured in the EU

Expertly woven in Lithuania using time-honoured techniques passed down since 1843 — blending craftsmanship with generations of tradition.

The Smart Choice

Wool is a renewable and biodegradable resource, so buying this throw supports sustainable farming practices and reduces the environmental impact compared to synthetic alternatives. In addition, wool’s natural breathability ensures it’s perfect for year round use.

The beautiful wool in this throw comes from reputable sources that do not - and have not ever – used the practice of Mulesing. The wool comes only from farms that adhere to the 5 Freedoms, and the supplier is certified by the Wool Integrity Programme – underpinned by the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme Standard. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do.
