For all orders that contain bedding or accessories, it will ship from our US distribution center in Knoxville on a 2-3 day ground service using FedEx, UPS and Canada Post. FREE ground shipping for all orders $150 and over pre sales tax. Applicable for mainland Canada only.
Mattress orders will be delivered to your doorstep via FedEx in 7-10 days, not including the time required to hand craft your mattress. Your tracking number will be provided to you once your items have been dispatched from our distribution center. As we believe our products are of a significant value we require a signature for all orders. In certain circumstances this signature has been waivered for a contactless delivery.
Please note that in exceptional circumstances your order may be fulfilled from elsewhere. This may go via a different courier to FedEx or UPS. Merino Blend Outer Cover

Naturally Flame Retardant - No Chemicals Used

Most mattresses will use an Flame Retardant (FR) sock or barrier (which is synthetic) or FR chemicals to meet the local laws on flammability. The Luxury Wooly has incorporated knowledge learnt from nearly 40 years of strict legal requirements in the UK on flammability and uses the natural flame retardancy of wool (high nitrogen content stops it burning) in the surface fillings and the cover to meet all domestic FR requirements (CFR 1632 and CFR 1633) naturally.

Our mattresses are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified meaning they are free from harmful chemicals and suitable for use with young children.

We always recommend finding a foundation for your wool mattress. A mattress will contour to the foundation, so it's important to choose the right one to avoid sagging or over-firming. A wooden or metal slatted base will firm a mattress significantly, so it’s always best to look for a spring option if possible. It’s also recommended that the gap between the slats is no more than 4 inches wide to ensure maximum performance of the mattress.

In the USA! All our mattresses are made with British-imported wool in South Carolina, USA. Expertly handcrafted by fourth generation mattress makers in South Carolina, our all-natural wool mattress range mixes the best of British design and materials (including traceable British wool) with the expertise of local craftsmanship from the USA.

Wool is a natural fiber, not synthetic like memory foam. Wool stays clean and free from mold, mildew, and bacteria due to its natural fiber coating that repels allergens. Memory foam is a synthetic material that is is not breathable. While it offers appealing comfort and firmness, the downside is a mattress that absorbs sweat, dust mites, and dead cells. This decreases its length of use and makes it a hot zone for allergens.

Actually, it's the opposite. Contrary to what you may think, wool actually is breathable, moisture wicking, and temperature regulating. Well packaged and arrived in good order. Quickly expanded to the correct size and shape. Comfortable and supportive. Firm, but not stiff and hard. Enough padding for side sleeping as well as back sleeping, yet firm enough and reactive. Side hold up well and you can comfortably sit on the edges of the mattress. Well done.

I bought the medium mattress. It feels very soft but enough support of your body. It's very comfortable, better than I expected. The only thing is that Fedex only delivers to the front door of my house and I need to hire someone to move it to my bedroom upstairs.

I really wanted to love the Woolroom Luxury Wooly Mattress. I chose it because it contains no foam and is made with natural materials. Unfortunately, it began developing noticeable dips where we sleep. I felt it needed more cushioning, so I added the Wooly Mattress Topper, it did not hide the significant indentations in the mattress.
I understand that wool naturally settles and compresses, but I’m disappointed that Woolroom knows and expects the “settling” yet doesn’t make it clear before purchase how much settling and body indentation customers should expect. Knowing this beforehand may have changed my decision.
I do love my Woolroom wool pillows, but unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the mattress. I really wanted to love it and am disappointed with the experience. I’ll be purchasing my guest bed elsewhere.

We have been sleeping on our firm Luxury Wooly Mattress for 2 months and so far we are extremely pleased with our sleep experience. No more morning hip and lower back pain from our prior mattress which had memory foam. It is incredibly firm, even though we chose the medium option. It's an ok mattress but we need a topper for it to be able to sleep.

What I can tell you is this: this is the perfect mattress for me. I have chronic back pain and was sleeping on a very pricy tempurpedic foam mattress and woke up every day in pain. First night on this mattress. No pain. Can't guarantee it will work for you, but it is a life saver for me. Got the "medium" firmness and it was just right.

I'm a bit surprised WoolRoom is not more popular and really debated between this and the SaativaRX. Glad I went this route. Highly recommend.

PS - Have been in touch with customer service and they are very prompt and polite. They did confirm the mattress would work on an adjustable base.... and it does work great! No issues.

Love the mattress. It's very comfortable,like the firmness. I have had it for 1 year now and really like it. It's great quality. I feel you can't go wrong with wool. I'm glad it's not filled with electronics and wires. I get great night sleep and have no back pain with this mattress

We are still unsure about the mattress. While it doesn't have any bulges or sags, we find ourselves waking up stiff every morning. Thu king we may need a pillow top in addition to the mattress cover?

Exceptional Craftsmanship

This mattress is clearly made with care. You can feel the quality from day one. It took about a week for my body to adjust, since I was switching from a memory foam bed, but once I did. wow. It’s breathable, firm enough for support, and my allergies have noticeably decreased (thank you hypoallergenic wool!). Would give 5 stars, but it did have a slight natural wool scent at first that took a few days to fade. Still a fantastic product though.
