Our Standen mattress is a great introduction to our Artisan Collection, hand-crafted with natural materials so you can sleep the way nature intended. Our artisans hand tie and nest each of the 1400 calico pocket springs to give you precision support in all the right places while maintaining breathability. Our artisans also hand sew two rows of stitching along the sides of each mattress to give you edge-to-edge support and an increased sleeping area, while the traditional technique of hand tufting works to extend your mattress's life.

Cotton, cashmere, silk and British Wool are chosen to craft the soft, smooth sleep surface, while the layers beneath are supported with naturally hypoallergenic and temperature-regulating wool. All of our wool is sustainable and ethically sourced, and the origins of our top-layer wool pads are even 100% traceable back to the UK farms they came from - just check out our Wool ID® tags
