  • Description

Crafted from 100% pure new wool, this duck egg herringbone throw is designed to bring instant warmth, texture and character to your bedroom or living space. Soft, beautifully weighted and woven in a classic herringbone pattern, it layers effortlessly over your bedding or drapes naturally across a sofa or armchair.

The finishing layer your bedroom has been missing

A well-chosen throw transforms a bed from somewhere you sleep to somewhere you want to be. Fold this duck egg blue herringbone throw across the foot of your bed over a wool duvet and pillow set for a pulled-together, boutique feel, or let it fall loosely for something more relaxed and inviting. The wider width gives generous coverage, making it as practical as it is stylish.

Timeless herringbone in a calming duck egg blue tone

The classic herringbone weave adds depth and texture, while the soft duck egg blue tone brings a relaxed, tranquil quality to any interior. It sits beautifully alongside neutral linens and natural tones, or adds a quiet, considered note of colour to a more layered scheme — without ever feeling out of place.

    Expertly woven, built to last

Woven using traditional techniques, this throw has the kind of lofty, substantial feel that only comes from quality wool. It drapes well, holds its shape and gets better with use — a piece that earns its place in your home rather than fading into the background.

All the benefits of wool, naturally

Alongside its good looks, wool brings some quietly useful qualities. It naturally regulates temperature, staying cosy in cooler months and breathable when it's warmer, so it works as a layer all year-round rather than being packed away seasonally. It's also naturally hypoallergenic, moisture-wicking and inherently flame resistant — practical benefits that come without any synthetic additives.

    Responsibly sourced wool

This duck egg blue herringbone throw is crafted from wool ethically sourced from New Zealand, meeting the highest animal welfare standards under the Wool Integrity Programme and certified by the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme. This ensures compliance with the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare and excludes the practice of mulesing.

How to wash a wool blanket

Did you know wool is naturally breathable? This means your woollen blanket will release any moisture it might absorb. So, you won't need to wash it as frequently as you would other household textiles - it'll last longer too! However, if your blanket does need freshening up from time to time, you can simply leave it hung outdoors for a few hours on a nice day.

If you need to clean your blanket because of small spills, marks and the like, you can spot-clean it with a light detergent. However, for anything bigger, we recommend dry cleaning - this will keep it at its very best. Our wool blankets are not suitable for machine washing or tumble drying.

Can you wash a wool throw?

Yes, but our wool throws and bed throws should be cleaned by a professional dry cleaner only. With wool being the wonder material it is, you shouldn't need to wash it very often - a good shake, brush or a couple of hours hanging in the great outdoors will freshen it up.

  • 100% Renewable

Wool is a 100% renewable resource — each year, sheep grow a fresh fleece simply by grazing on grass, drinking water, and basking in the sun. Nature’s cycle, perfected.

  • Naturally Temperature Regulating

Wool keeps your temperature just right. It draws moisture away to keep you cool, and as a breathable insulator, it works in tandem with your body to keep you warm when the temperatures drops.

The Smart Choice

Wool is a renewable and biodegradable resource, so buying this throw supports sustainable farming practices and reduces the environmental impact compared to synthetic alternatives. In addition, wool’s natural breathability ensures it’s perfect for year round use.

The beautiful wool in this throw comes from reputable sources that do not - and have not ever – used the practice of Mulesing. The wool comes only from farms that adhere to the 5 Freedoms, and the supplier is certified by the Wool Integrity Programme – underpinned by the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme Standard. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do.
