Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce a completely machine washable wool pillow without using some form of treatment on the fibre. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating a truly machine washable wool duvet.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).

Generally happy with my purchase but as a lightweight duvet I find it a little too warm at the moment (I am a very hot sleeper). I’d decided to try wool after many years with goose down and it is a little heavier but feels snug with a good ‘drape’. I think this duvet will be perfect for me from autumn through to spring (when it will be nice to feel snug without too much weight) but I will probably buy a new 2.5 tog goose down for next summer. Would I buy again? Probably, but not as summer bedding if like me you are a hot sleeper.

Very tidy and made beautifully. It is a 2 tog duvet for the summer time. In a way I think it might get me through the autumn days as well, before I am searching for the 10 tog winter duvet.

I think the duvet is quite heavy for a light-weight duvet. I didn't use it until after the heat- wave (second) but I found it rather hot and have taken it off again .

I love my summer weight wool duvet … it’s perfect as it’s the ideal weight for my preference eg not too light.

There is no rustling noise or any smell. The cotton cover is very high quality and the wool filling is generous and evenly distributed.

I plan to continue to use it into autumn and to buy a warmer one for colder weather.

Couette livrée dans une housse en tissu. Belle qualité, belles finitions, un tissu beige, aucune odeur de mouton.
Les dimensions (225x220) sont différentes des couettes trouvées en France (240x220) mais elle va parfaitement dans une housse en forme de bouteille.
Par contre, j’ai dû m'acquitter de droits de douane de 44 € pour une livraison en France par Chronopost.
L'expédition de chez Woolroom a été très rapide.

I would not recommend getting this duvet. Every night the whole thing becomes bunched in the cover. It slips down from the top and I’m left with large portions of empty duvet cover with folded over duvet at the side and bottom. Every morning I go back inside the cover, unbunching and shaking it all out. I would say this is such a massive pain that I think about my regret in buying it every single day and how I would not recommend it. I can’t wait to get a different type now, but feel I have to wait as this cost a lot.

Really love this duvet. We first used it during the heatwave and have kept it on during the recent much cooler nights. I was a bit concerned it might not drape around the body like my previous down duvet did. I need not have worried at all, it's beautifully light and moulds really well around you. Very pleased with it.

What tog is your light duvet please.
We use a 4.5 wool duvet normally all year round, but it’s too hot for this weather, I am looking for something lighter.

Our Light Wool Duvet is 2–5 tog.

If you usually find a 4.5 tog wool duvet comfortable all year round but it's proving too warm during the current hot weather, our Light Wool Duvet would be a great choice. Wool is naturally breathable and temperature regulating, helping to keep you cool while still providing lightweight comfort.

Can you join 2 light duvets together

If you purchase a duvet on its own, it won’t have any poppers attached.
The All Seasons duvet with poppers includes a light and medium duvet that clip together to create the warm option.

If you need two light duvets with poppers, you would need to purchase two All Seasons sets, as the poppers are only included on those sets.
