Our Organic topper contains 1300gsm of certified organic wool filling, while the Deluxe version uses 1000gsm of traceable British wool, meaning the organic version has 25% more wool filling for a thicker, more luxurious feel. In terms of certification, the GOTS Organic topper is fully certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard for both its wool and cotton components, and is quilted between 300 thread count organic unbleached cotton throughout.

The Woolroom topper achieves GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification because it contains GOTS certified organic, fully-traceable British wool from sheep reared according to organic farming standards, meaning no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilisers, routine antibiotics, or growth hormones are used. The topper is also quilted between 300 thread count organic unbleached cotton that's grown and processed without harmful synthetic chemicals or bleaches. GOTS is the world's leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, requiring that the entire supply chain from farming through manufacturing meets strict environmental and social standards, ensuring a truly organic product that avoids harmful chemicals and environmentally damaging processes throughout production.

The Organic Topper is approximately 6–8 cm thick. This thickness strikes an
ideal balance — it’s thick enough to add noticeable softness and comfort, yet not so deep that it overwhelms the feel of your existing mattress. The organic wool fill gently contours to your body, offering pressure relief at key points like shoulders, hips, and knees while still allowing your mattress to provide essential support. It’s
especially beneficial for people who find their current mattress too firm or lacking breathability, as the wool promotes natural airflow and temperature regulation throughout the night.

We believe that a natural sleep environment is the key to a healthy night's sleep. That's why we keep all our bedding free from nasty chemicals. During the manufacturing process, our wool is washed with a chlorine solution to smooth out the fibres. This prevents felting and helps to enhance its heat regulating properties. The solution is then double washed out of our wool — at the end of this process the amount of chlorine in the product is less than you would find in a glass of tap water.

Regular maintenance involves airing the topper monthly in fresh air to maintain the wool's natural properties and prevent moisture buildup. Rotate the topper every few months to ensure even wear. For cleaning, spot treat any stains immediately and consider professional dry cleaning for deep maintenance.

The Organic Wool Topper features corner straps that attach underneath your mattress corners to keep it firmly in place. The organic cotton cover is also designed to grip naturally to your mattress surface. Once properly secured, the topper will stay in position throughout the night without shifting or bunching.
