Technical Specification
Our Lindisfarne mattress is the even more sumptuous cousin of our Blackwell mattress, with hand-teased layers of mohair and horsehair for a naturally sprung night's sleep.
The Lindisfarne is also one of our double-layer mattresses, with a total of 2400 hand-tied and nested calico pocket springs forming a top layer of contouring comfort above a second layer of tailored support. Our artisans hand nest each spring to ensure you get the precise support you need while maintaining breathability.
Cotton, cashmere, and silk are chosen to craft the soft, smooth sleep surface, along with naturally hypoallergenic and temperature-regulating British wool.Meanwhile, the foundation beneath contains durable and supportive hand-teased layers of mohair and horsehair. All our wool is sustainable and ethically sourced, and the origins of our wool pads are even 100% traceable back to the farms they came from - just check out our Wool ID« tags.
Our artisans also hand sew four rows of stitching along the sides of each mattress to give you edge-to-edge support and an increased sleeping area, while the traditional technique of hand tufting works to extend your mattress's life.
