    Suite au lancement de nos gammes de literie pour adultes, nous sommes ravis d'introduire la traçabilité dans notre gamme de literie en laine Babywool. Une traçabilité totale associée à une réelle lavabilité en machine rendent cette gamme de literie unique. La laine de notre gamme lavable a toujours été durable, renouvelable, biodégradable et lavable en machine. Désormais, elle est également entièrement traçable !

    La laine est un élément fondamental de l'ADN de Woolroom pour la literie, les matelas et les accessoires. C'est pourquoi nous avons toujours veillé à acheter la bonne laine, car votre confort est notre priorité. Nous avons toujours été fiers de pouvoir proposer une laine de haute qualité, propre et issue de sources responsables. Avec l'introduction de notre laine traçable, nous pouvons désormais garantir le caractère durable et éthique de notre laine, jusqu'à la ferme.

    Nous garantissons que la laine que nous achetons est issue d'une culture responsable, que les moutons sont bien traités et que les terres sont bien gérées, mais surtout, que les communautés agricoles britanniques sont soutenues. Notre programme de traçabilité…Wool ID®, garantit que chaque partie de notre chaîne d'approvisionnement, depuis la ferme, est rigoureusement auditée, depuis la collecte, le lavage et le peignage de la laine, jusqu'à la fabrication d'un produit Woolroom Traceable soigneusement fabriqué à la main, identifiable par une qualité de fibre élevée, de solides politiques de bien-être animal et une provenance agricole complète.

    Leaders de la literie en laine lavable en machine

    Il est impossible de rendre un produit en laine lavable en machine sans traiter la fibre. C'est une tâche complexe qui requiert beaucoup de compétences et de connaissances. Il nous a fallu plus de dix ans pour mettre au point une gamme aux performances irréprochables, sans rien perdre de la qualité ni des performances attendues des produits Woolroom.

    En général, si vous lavez de la laine, l'humidité, la chaleur et les mouvements de la machine la font feutrer et rétrécir. Avec un peu de chance, un seul lavage délicat suffit, mais avec le temps, les fibres naturelles finissent par s'abîmer et s'agglutiner irrémédiablement. Notre gamme lavable résout ce problème : la laine britannique que nous utilisons est baignée dans une solution chlorée qui lisse les picots naturels de la laine (qui sont à l'origine du rétrécissement, de l'agglutination et, finalement, du feutrage de la laine non traitée).

    La solution est ensuite soigneusement rincée deux fois pour éliminer la fibre et garantir une teneur en chlore résiduel inférieure à celle de l'eau du robinet, sans affecter les performances de la fibre. Certaines marques affirment que leur linge de lit en laine est lavable en machine, mais sans ce traitement, la laine ne peut tout simplement pas supporter le mouvement vigoureux d'une machine à laver combinée à de l'eau chaude.

    Ce processus est-il sûr ?

    En mars 2018, nous avons testé nos trois gammes de literie à l'Université de Bangor afin de détecter les dégagements gazeux et les résidus chimiques. Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer qu'aucune trace de produit chimique ou de toxines nocives n'a été détectée dans nos trois gammes. De plus, ce procédé est conforme à la norme Oekotex Classe 100 en matière de sécurité. Woolroom se positionne une fois de plus comme l'alternative la plus sûre et la plus naturelle pour un sommeil tout en offrant un confort optimal.

Superior Temperature Regulation

Woolroom mattress protectors offer unrivalled temperature-regulating properties through the amazing attributes of wool. Hand-crafted from traceable, British wool fibre and soft organic cotton this protector effortlessly adjusts to your little one's body's temperature, keeping them cosy in winter and cool in summer.

As young children are unable to regulate their temperature as effectively as adults, it is vital to "cocoon" your child in wool by combining the mattress protector with our pillows and duvets (for over the age of 12 months). Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce completely machine washable wool without using some form of treatment on the fiber. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating truly machine washable wool bedding and have been doing so since 2008.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).

Ordered a cot bed quilt and pillow for our granddaughter.It is perfect.Wool is perfect for controlling body temperature,in Winter & Summer,so I know that our granddaughter,will not get too hot under the duvet.Love Woolroom’s items.I have their super king quilt on our bed & have a great nights sleep!Also recommend the pillows.Personally,I prefer the Washable option in the range.

I Want One

I’d never heard of wool duvets before starting my search for one that would fit inside my son’s cot. Now he is one we wanted a blanket with a bit more weight that he wouldn’t kick off as easily in the night but also could snuggle under and wasn’t too heavy. Perfect!

Thanks so much to The Wool Room for this wonderful duvet for our two-year-old daughter as she moves into her first ‘big bed’ (well just her cot with the side off!) it’s a perfect size for a standard cot (not cot bed) a great weight and has loads of movement which has meant it’s been really easy for our little one to get used to!

Great But Difficult To Find Covers

Love the duvet it's a really great product.However it is unfortunate that finding sheets to fit that don't cost the earth is difficult. We have made do with tucking the excess into the end of the bed, may cut and resew.Actual duvet is great through.

Excellent Quality

We are so, so pleased with this duvet. It’s excellently made, brilliant quality and we love that it’s made of natural materials in the UK. We’re so glad we chose to invest in this rather than purchase a cheap duvet that will need replacing in a year because the filling has bunch into balls. The 4.5 tog is ideal for our home, especially given wools properties of naturally keeping cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The size is perfect for our cotbed and fits John Lewis sheets. Have already recommended to my friends.

Hard To Find Covers That Fit

I’ve bought all my grandchildren wool bedding when they are born. This however is the first cot sized one as my daughter doesn’t have the room for a cot bed. The problem I’m having is finding a cover that fits. Cot duvet covers come in 90 x 120 and this duvet is 100 x 120. Do I’m going to have to buy a cot bed size, cut it and reset it. Very disappointed.
