Organic Washable Wool Duvet

At Woolroom, we know exactly where the organic wool in our organic bedding comes from. We work hard to source the highest quality organic wool from around the United Kingdom, including Robert Hyde's farm in Dorset, England. We carry out the most stringent checks to ensure the highest welfare of the sheep and pay a premium to farmer for their raising their sheep through organic farming methods in line with strict third party requirements and certifications.

Our Wool ID® Programme ensures transparency throughout the entire supply chain allowing you know exactly where the organic wool in your bedding has come from.

Our duvets offer remarkable temperature-regulating properties. Hand-crafted from traceable, British wool fibres, this duvet effortlessly adjusts to your body's temperature, keeping you cosy in winter and cool in summer.

Wool's innate breathability allows for optimal airflow, preventing overheating during warmer nights while providing insulation in colder seasons. Its moisture-transporting abilities ensure a dry sleeping environment, promoting a refreshing and restorative rest each night.

Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce a completely machine washable wool bedding without using some form of treatment on the fibre. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating a truly machine washable wool bedding.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).

Don't think about it.It'sworth every penny. No smell. Brilliant for allergic people. So light (king light organic)butso warm. We don't sweat like we used to with our polyester and down duvets. I bought it also for my son and he's not pushing it off at night. He Sleeps a lot better. We now bought the full range and the pillows too. I did a research and realised how important it's to have both the organic and the oeko tex 100 certification. So happy we found this company. Please keep up your wonderful work.

Lovely quality and as it's anti-microbial you really do wake up feeling fresher. I don't sweat much, but I do have sensitive skin and this feels lovely against the skin. I can vouch for all of the bedding which has wool and cotton. I love the slight sheep smell, when it first arrives (which does dissipate for those who don't like it).

Has anyone experienced the duvet not been flat at the edge just seems to big for duvet cover(have tried many}just seem to get a thick bulk down one edge find it difficult to be even all round.........is it me is there a knack...........

It sounds like the duvet might be a bit too large for the cover, which can cause the filling to bunch up. One tip is to make sure the duvet is evenly distributed inside the cover by shaking it out and smoothing it down regularly. You might also try securing the duvet to the cover with ties or clips if your cover has them.Please note that the covers we sell are cut to the exact size of our duvets to avoid any shifting. Lovely Product

This blanket is great. High quality feels very nice. Good for winters in hot climates. Where I live the temp in winter is about 10 C. The cotton is very soft and the wool doesn't make me sweaty or absorb the humidity

Happy With Our Purchase

Buying a new duvet is a big decision but we weren't disappointed with this one. It's warm enough for my husband but cool enough for me, so I don't need to reach for a cooler alternative in the middle of the night! Only slight annoyance is that it tends to travel inside the cover so I need to shake it every morning to get it square, I don't know whether there's a way to prevent that. Otherwise very comfortable.

Very Cosy, Very Snug

My partner and I are very happy with our super king duvet. It fits our cover perfectly and keeps us both warm but not too warm. I like that it's not overly fluffy or lofty, but offers just enough weight to feel cosy. It's perfect for a snuggle under the covers.
