Superior Temperature Regulation

Our Deluxe comforters offer remarkable and unmatchable temperature-regulating properties. Hand-crafted from traceable, British wool fibers, this comforter effortlessly adjusts to your body's temperature, keeping you cool in summer, and cozy in winter.

Wool's innate breathability allows for optimal airflow, preventing overheating during warmer nights and climates while providing insulation in colder seasons. Its moisture-transporting abilities ensure a dry sleeping environment, promoting a refreshing and restorative rest each night. Wool really is the ultimate fiber choice for a guaranteed better night’s sleep.

Naturally Hypoallergenic

If you’re one of the millions of people in the US who suffer from allergies or asthma, getting a good night’s sleep can be difficult. Thankfully, hypoallergenic bedding provides a solution by creating an allergy-friendly sleep environment to help you breathe easier and sleep better.

Our wool bedding is naturally hypoallergenic and certified by Allergy UK. Wool is naturally resistant to dust mites and other allergens because it creates a dry environment that disrupts their growth and reproductive cycles. More specifically, wool has moisture-transporting abilities that remove the humidity dust mites need to thrive. If you suffer from allergies, then wool is the best choice to help ease or eradicate your allergies at night.

Traceable British Wool

At Woolroom, we know exactly where the wool in all our bedding comes from. We work hard to source the highest quality wool from around the UK. We carry out the most stringent checks to ensure the highest welfare of the sheep and pay a premium to the farmer for their wool.

Our Wool ID® Program ensures transparency throughout the entire supply chain allowing you know exactly where the wool in your bedding has come from.

Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce completely machine washable wool without using some form of treatment on the fiber. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating truly machine washable wool bedding and have been doing so since 2008.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).

Learn More About This Process

OEKO-TEX® Certified

All of our bedding is now officially certified by OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, making us the first and only wool bedding retailer to hold this prestigious certification.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.

Risk-Free 30 Night Sleep Trial

All of our comforters come with a risk-free 30 night sleep trial. This means you can try out your new comforter in the comfort of your own home and if you’re not experiencing the benefits that thousands of other people have done then you have the option to return it for a refund.

It really is a guaranteed better night’s sleep or your money back! We know you’ll sleep significantly better using wool and it will change your life.

Deluxe Washable Wool Comforter - Medium - FAQs

You can, but you don't have to! Our wool comforters are essentially duvet inserts. They can be enjoyed with or without a cover. Covers add style, color, and help extend the length of time you can go between washes. All of the cotton on our products is extremely soft and kind to the skin so if you decide not to use a cover, you'll still be comfortable and won't be in direct contact with the wool inside.

A wool duvet or duvet insert and a wool comforter are the same thing. Depending on where you live, you may be used to calling them one name or the other. But, they are the same product! Our wool comforters can be used as-is for bedding or you can insert into a duvet (or comforter) cover for style and protection between cleanings.

Love our new comforter! It is a great weight and thickness, and it seems very well made. The only reason for a 4-star rating is that it is narrower than our previous comforter and doesn't fill our standard king-size duvet cover.

Hi Julie, thank you for your kind words! We're glad you love the comforter. We appreciate your feedback on the size and will consider it for future products. If you need any assistance with fitting or sizing, feel free to reach out!

King (100x90 inch)

This is a great comforter/duvet. It's heavy enough to feel cozy, but not as heavy as a weighted blanket. I've used it with the AC blasting and on hot, humid nights, and it's kept me comfortable during all of it!

I deducted a star because it only has four places to tie on a duvet (one on each corner). I have never seen a duvet with fewer than eight places to tie on a cover; usually there are places to tie on a cover on the sides too. For a comforter of this size, it would help to have more places to hold a cover in place.

But overall, I really enjoy the duvet itself.

Hi Breanne, thank you for your thoughtful review! We're glad you enjoy the comfort and versatility of our wool comforter. Your feedback about the duvet ties is appreciated and helps us improve. If you ever need a cover with more ties, we're happy to assist. Thanks again for choosing Woolroom!

Just switched from an old feather duvet to the washable wool duvet in “medium”. I was deciding between the medium and the warm, and am glad I got the medium because it is plenty warm, maybe even a little too warm already for spring. I do miss the weight and feel of my feather duvet, but I like the hypoallergenic aspect of the wool and it is cozy. I didn’t notice it was line dry only before purchasing, and I don’t have a clothes line or anywhere large enough to hang a wet queen size duvet, so that was disappointing. Also 86x86 seems to be an awkward size to find in duvet covers, most I found were closer to 90x90 (only two colour options are offered on this site in 86x86 which I did not purchase).

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Deluxe Washable Wool Duvet in Medium. We're glad to hear that you're enjoying the warmth and hypoallergenic benefits of the duvet. We apologize for any inconvenience regarding the line drying requirement and the limited size options for duvet covers. We will definitely take note of your feedback and see how we can improve in the future. Thank you for choosing our product and we hope you continue to enjoy it. Have a great day!

Nice and warm not too hot. Good quality.

I bought a queen size washable duvet for my cover which is 90" x 92" but your duvet is too small. It measures 86"x86". I am unable to sleep under our current down duvet so I decided to look for a new cover that is 86 by 86 to match your duvet and I couldn't find anything either in the local mall or online. After quite an extensive search it seems that all queen size duvet covers are either 90 by 90 or 90 by 92. This seems to be the standard. The only place I could find with an 86 x 86 duvet cover was on your site which means the only place I could buy a cover that fits this duvet is from you. Cleaver marketing!

As a result of this size discrepancy, I have 6 inches on the top and bottom without the duvet and 4 inches on the sides. I'm disappointed in the size and feel that there should be some kind of warning on your site that your Queen size does not match standard Canadian sizes. Otherwise the duvet looks wonderful and extremely well made.
