We have three mattress protectors: deluxe washable, deluxe washable waterproof, and washable organic. The protector that has the waterproof layer is the Deluxe Washable Wool Waterproof Protector.

What is the thickness of the wool mattress protectors?

Our mattress protector thickness is 0.5 inches. It's meant to be a thin protective layer to keep your mattress clean while also offering the benefits of temperature regulation from the wool prtoector. Available also in waterproof and organic cotton.

How do I wash my mattress protector?

Our Deluxe Washable protector provides a temperature regulating layer to your mattress as well as protecting it. Hand-crafted from 7 oz sq/yd of traceable & machine washable British wool combined with an organic cotton outer cover to provide the most natural night's sleep.

A wool mattress protector is perfect for use on a memory foam, latex or any other mattress that gets very hot with use. This will take away up to 70% of the heat given off leaving you to sleep comfortably without overheating.

Care Instructions
Cleaning: Machine wash on a wool/delicate cycle at 40 degrees using a wool detergent.
Drying: Please only line dry. Do not tumble dry.
Storage: Store exclusively in the provided calico bag and avoid vacuum storage.
Freshening: To refresh the protector, we recommend placing it outside for a few hours.
Shipping

For all orders that contain bedding or accessories, it will ship from our US distribution center in Knoxville, TN or Salt Lake City, UT on a 2-3 day ground service using FedEx, UPS or USPS. This is a free service for all orders over $100 that will take 2-3 working days to reach you.

Mattress orders will be delivered to you in 7-10 days with FedEX. Your tracking number will be provided to you once your items have been dispatched from our distribution center. As we believe our products are of a significant value we require a signature for all orders. In certain circumstances this signature has been waivered for a contactless delivery.

Please note that in exceptional circumstances your order may be fulfilled from elsewhere. This may go via a different courier to FedEx or UPS. This will not affect the delivery time or experience in any way. We are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses, please use an alternative address or your order may result in a failed delivery.

Truly Machine Washable

It's impossible to produce completely machine washable wool without using some form of treatment on the fiber. It is a complex process that requires a lot of skill and knowledge. We are pioneers of creating truly machine washable wool bedding and have been doing so since 2008.

Ordinarily, the combination of moisture, heat and movement in the washing machine will cause wool to felt and shrink. We've overcome this by bathing our British wool in a chlorine solution, which smooths out the natural barbs you find in wool (these are what cause untreated wool to shrink, clump and ultimately felt).
