Wool Mattress FAQs
Buying a mattress is a big investment in yourself and your sleep. We answer some of the most common questions!
We always recommend finding a foundation for your wool mattress. a mattress will contour to the foundation. So, it's important to choose the right one to avoid sagging or over-firming. A wooden or metal slatted baes will firm a mattress significantly, so it's always best to look for a spring option if possible. It's also recommended that the gap between the slats is no more than 4 inches wide to ensure maximum performance of the mattress.
Wool is a natural fiber, not synthetic like memory foam. Wool stays clean and free from mold, mildew, and bacteria due to its natural fiber coating that repels allergens. Memory foam is a synthetic material that is not breathable. While it offers appealing comfort and firmness, the downside is a mattress that absorbs sweat, dust mites, and dead cells. This decreases its length of use and makes it a hot zone and allergy nightmare.
For all returns (excluding Hawaii and Alaska), we offer a free returns service via FedEx, Canada Post or Load Up (Mattresses only). Mattresses or toppers that are not a part of the 100 night sleep trial are not covered under our free return policy.
The size of the mattress you choose is very important in providing a comfortable sleeping experience. For maximum comfort, think about upgrading to a Queen or King-size mattress that offers a little more width and extra length, perfect for those who are perhaps a little taller.
Actually, it's the opposite. Contrary to what you may think, wool actually is breathable, moisture wicking, and temperature regulating. So, instead of making you hot (and itchy and clammy), wool naturally keeps you cooler. This makes a wool mattress the best choice for night sweat sufferers, hot sleepers, and warm nights. It'll leave you feeling drier and more comfortable for a better night's sleep.
